I usually don’t like fantasy and I really don’t like zombie stories, but the examples in this collection were so well-written that I couldn’t not read them. As for the other stories? 'I bought the anthology because I wanted to read 'Cooling Engines' by James Healy, which is a kind of 'Mad Max: Logistics Road' tale, knowing nothing about the rest of the stories. I love a post apocalyptic tale so that was enough to lure me in. The whole collection turned out to be delightfully entertaining and well written which was a treat. The stories are unrelated so if you wanted something bite-size to dip into occasionally they are perfect for that. I'll definitely keep my eye out for the next one.' - Blaise Harvey
